These trees are known for their towering height, with some individuals reaching up to 200 feet (60 meters). The Deodar cedar is characterised by its graceful, drooping branches and long, needle-like leaves, which are arranged in clusters. The cones of the tree are large, and barrel shaped. The wood of Cedrus deodara is highly prised for its durability, aromatic fragrance, and resistance to insects, making it a valuable timber for construction and furniture.
