Summary
This pure, spray-dried Strawberry Juice contains Vitamin C, Folate, Anthocyanins, Flavonols and condensed tannins.
Folates are helpful in skin rejuvenation and can reduce the signs of skin ageing. Folic acid is also really important for scalp health and can improve hair strength and follicle vitality.

Process
Produced by taking freshly squeezed Strawberries and spray drying them. Spray drying concentrates the antioxidants naturally present in the fruit juice. The process also stabilises the phytochemicals by drying off the water. Most Strawberries contain around 90% water when fresh so 10g of this Strawberry juice powder would provide the same antioxidant hit as you would get from a 100g of fresh Strawberry juice.
Appearance
Deep pink particulates. Free flowing when dehydrated
Odour
Mild, characteristic of Strawberry but not strong enough to be used as a major odour active.

Water soluble.
pH of reconstituted powder
Around 2.5
Heat stability
Will tolerate heating for a short time but best to add into your formula once the temperature is below 50C as some of the will start to break down with excessive heat.
Use instructions
To create a re-constituted Strawberry juice mix 0.5 parts Strawberry powder to 4.5 parts water (10% powder to 90% water). Add to your formula in the cool-down phase if possible and for best stability, maintain a product pH of below 5. Final product pH is a more important factor in polyphenol stability than heat treatment during manufacturing.
Typical use level
Between 1-10% on an ‘as supplied’ basis but can be used in higher quantities if required.
Examples of applications
Strawberry extract is ideally suited to hair products due to its high folic acid concentration which boosts hair strength. Add to our Unscented hair mask for a fruity scalp boost!
Try some strawberry powder in one of our shampoo bases, alternatively make your own shampoo with our sulfate-free and ultra-mild yet high foaming Surfactant Blend.
