Description: Keratin Amino Acids
INCI: Keratin Amino Acid (and) Sodium Chloride.
Solubility: Water Soluble
Benefits: Conditioning active that can penetrate the hair cuticle to improve hair vitality.
Origin: Hydrolysis of keratin which is sourced from Fowel feather.
Activity: 20% aqueous solution.
Applications: This can be added to shampoo, conditioner perming or styling formulations where you wish to improve the moisture content of the hair. This active should be added at between 1-5% to improve the appearance of dull, dry and brittle hair.
Useage: 1-5% Add towards the end of manufacturing.
pH Activity: The Isoelectric point of Keratin is 3.8 which means that formulating below that will result in a cationic charge (+ve) on the keratin. Formulating above this will give the keratin a negative charge.
Rejuvinating: Great for strengthening and re-building skin and hair.
Moisturisation: All amino acids have an affinity for water and as such can help keep the skin moisturised and supple.
