Ingredients: Xanthan Gum, Purified Water
The perfect choice for clear, natural gum based serums, gels and surfactant-based products.
Description: Xanthan Gum is a natural emulsifier and stabiliser, derived from corn sugar. With amazing properties including solubility in both hot and cold water, tolerance to salt, tolerance to pH and temperature changes, it is ideal for thickening and adding volume to lotions, creams and gels. It also works well as a suspension agent.
This particular grade of Xanthan gum produces a clear solution with smoother, less stringy flow than our regular xanthan. While it is still best to either hydrate it by adding it while mixing to hot water Or pre-mixing into a paste with glycerin, this grade does hydrate faster and with a lower potential for fish eyes than our regular grade.
Useage Levels: 0.2 - 1.5%
Function: Thickening water based products.
Formulating Advise: Hydrate by putting into your water phase and mixing well until all powder is dispersed and has reached its maximum viscosity.
