Product Description
Ingredients: Cellulose Acetate Butyrate, Tricaprylin, Retinol, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-t-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate
Vitamin A (Retinol) which has been microencapsulated and stabilised.
Vitamin A is well known for its anti-aging capacity, however it suffers from oxidation and degradation which can reduce efficacy and discolour formulas. Tagra's CelluCap™ R is an encapsulated form of Vitamin A, meaning it can deliver stabilised, pure retinol straight to the skin. The shell is broken and Vitamin A is released upon rubbing with the skin.
Cellucap™ R contains 9% pure, stabilised retinol. The beads are <70 microns and break down to invisible particles when they break upon contact with the skin.
Recommended Use Level: 1-3% which gives an approximate retinol concentration of 0.1-0.3%
Solubility: These minute capsules are not designed to dissolve into either the water or oil phase. Instead they should be gently mixed into an emulsion during cool-down where they will disperse through. They are fine enough not to feel abrasive on the skin.
Formulation: Compatible with all types of cosmetic formulations. Add into last phase at 50°C with a simple paddle/anchor mixer. Do not apply shear force. Formulations that contain over 20% alcohol and/or glycols may destabilise the retinol complex.
Regulatory: CelluCap™ R is globally compliant including China, non-GMO, and is BSE, Halal, and vegan compliant.
Storage: To maintain product viability, CelluCap™ R requires storage at -20°C prior to use in formulations.
