Properties/Benefits: D-limonene is the primary compound responsible for the sweet, citrusy scent of our Orange Australian Essential Oil. It is found in high concentrations in the oil extracted from the peel of the orange fruit. Other compounds such as myrcene contributes to the aroma. The unique combination of these compounds gives our Orange Australian Essential Oil its characteristic scent and makes it a popular choice in aromatherapy, cosmetics and fragrances. Also, note that D-limonene is a powerful solvent that can dissolve and break down oils, grease and other substances.
