Extraction Method: Cold pressed and refined by degumming (phosphoric acid), bleaching (using bleaching clays and active carbons), deodorisation (vacuum deodorisation at 200°C with injection of steam). Then gently filtered to remove impurities.

Properties/Benefits: Hazelnut Refined oil is a highly beneficial oil that is prized for its rich content of oleic acid, which has emollient properties that leave the skin feeling soft, supple, and radiant. While hazelnut oil is not typically considered an astringent oil, it does contain some astringent properties. Specifically, hazelnut oil is well known to have tannins (or tannoids), which are natural compounds that can help to tighten and firm the skin (ideal for teenagers with skin problems). When applied topically, hazelnut oil can help to minimise the appearance of pores and improve skin texture. Unlike other oils, hazelnut oil quickly penetrates the skin without leaving a greasy residue, making it a great addition to day creams and massage bases, as well as oily skin care products. The oil's high concentration of alpha-tocopherols, also known as vitamin E, helps to combat free radicals and promote skin regeneration, making it a valuable ingredient for any skincare routine. Hazelnut oil is suitable for all skin types and can be used in a wide range of body and hair products.
