Product Description
Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Copper Carbonate Hydroxide (Malachite Extract)
Recommended Dose Rate: 0.1-5%
Solubility: Water
Description: This natural blue mineral active brings active copper to your cosmetic formulations. Copper is well known for the important role it plays in the skin as an antioxidant, in keratin synthesis and on collagen and elastin production.
Antioxidant: This extract has been found to quench the superoxide anion much more efficiently than Gallic Acid when it was tested in cell culture.
Detoxification: Antioxidants help to reduce environmental triggered stress on the skin and assist in the body’s detoxification process.
Colour: This extract brings a lovely light blue colour to your water-based formulations. At 4% the colour will be aqua blue with colour starting to appear through the product at 1% addition. Individual results will vary depending on the base formula. The colour is stable due to it being of mineral origin.
Material Origin: This active is derived from the mineral gemstone Malachite, a beautiful greeny blue stone sourced from central Africa and created from the weathering of copper deposits. Chemically the mineral is a hydrated copper carbonate.
Usage Instructions: Add to formulation at the end once the mixture has cooled to 40C or less. The mixture will sit in the water phase of your product.
Application Types: Skin Care, Anti-Ageing, Anti-Pollution, Hair Care (protective), Sun Products (Antioxidant, Free Radical Protection) and Spa products/ Luxury (mineral based).
Note: This product is sensitive to microbial contamination. Use all product upon opening.
