Product Description
Ingredients: SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE Glycerin - Vegetable/Palm Free, Purified Water, Ananas Sativus Fruit Extract
Pineapples were first brought to Europe by Sir Christopher Columbus in the late 1400's where they quickly became a prized luxury food item popular with royalty. They have never lost their appeal thanks in part to their sweet taste and their amazing health benefits.
As far as skin care goes we love Pineapples for their Bromelain, an enzyme that assists in skin debridement (peeling). This gentle exfoliating action helps to gently boost collagen production by removing dead skin cells. This in turn helps to brighten and smoothe the complexion, leaving it looking fresh and clean.
In addition to this key enzyme Pineapple extract is also rich in Vitamin C and trace B Vitamins which help protect against oxidation and with moisturising the skin.

Use: 1-5% in your formula. Add at the end of manufacturing once the temperature has reduced to 50C or less to ensure the full action of the extract remains. Pineapple extract is sensitive to heat and extremes of pH so while it can be a great addition to an AHA based formula it would be best to keep the final pH to between 4.5-5 rather than more acidic.
Solubility: Water soluble extract.
Water soluble. Add to water based products after cooling. Not soluble in oil but can be used in an emulsion.
Please note: Glycerine based extracts are sold in grams/kilograms and not millilitres/Litres. Glycerine extracts have a specific gravity greater than 1.00, this means that they are more dense or heavier than water and 1g/1Kg will not equal 1ml/1Lt.
