Product Description
Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Sodium Lauroamphoacetate, Sodium Chloride
INCI Name: Sodium Lauroamphoacetate.
Surfactant Type: Amphoteric.
Application : A very mild surfactant that is often used to reduce the irritation potential of other surfactants. It has a gentle emulsying and solubilising action and produces a high level of foam. This makes it ideal for use in baby bubble bath products or products where gentle cleansing is required.
Use Levels: Generally between 5-30% as supplied.
Activity: 35-37% active.
Compatibility with other surfactants : Works well with anionics or cationics and with non-ionic surfactants.
Origin: Natural, plant based surfactant. This may be derived from palm or coconut sources.
Formulation tip: For body washes, shampoos or bubble bath it is usual to blend an anionic surfactant with a non-ionic and possibly an amphoretic to help build stable mixed micelles (surfactant structures). This ensures that you have a good mix of cleaning action going on allowing you to reduce the total amount of surfactant in your formula. Having a formula with a lower surfactant activity is ideal in terms of cost and irritation potential. If correctly blended there should be no reduction in product quality.
