Description: A silicone based emollient that imparts exceptional smoothness to skin as well as consistency building properties and spreadability to skin creams, lotions and milks.
Benefits: This leaves the skin feeling silky and smooth as it forms a lightly waterproof barrier. It is also a great spreading agent and as such makes the perfect addition to a liquid foundation, BB cream, primer or sunscreen as both a film former and active dispersing agent. This can be used to help thicken oil in water or silicone in water emulsions and will also bring body to water-free emulsions (thicken oils and other silicones).
Useage Level: From 5-30% depending on application and other ingredients in the mix. The polymer has some heat stability and so can be added to hot process emulsions however extremes of heat are to be avoided to prevent the cyclomethicone from evaporating off.
